Who isn’t familiar with it?
That feeling you get when you are on holiday in France… “This would be a nice place to live!”

And that's what happend with us.  Starting a small chambres d’hôtes in the south of France has long been a dream. We would not be unprepared, because until May 2016 we successfully ran a B&B  in the Netherlands. With that experience in our suitcase, we traveled to the south of France to realize our dream.

We found a plot of building land and a small adjacent nature area with a total area of ​​3,800 m². Romanticly situated on the banks of the d’Ilouvre river in Babeau-Bouldoux, in the Herault department in Languedoc-Roussillon.
Less than 4 kilometers away is the famous wine village of Saint Chinian, where you can find the baker, the butcher, the greengrocer, cozy terraces and good restaurants.

In 2018 we started the construction of our new house and the B & B / chambres d’hôtes and in spring, on May  1, 2019, we opened the doors of Villa d’illouvre with its two spacious guest rooms.

We are now a few years further and we can look forward to a 4 star rating from Booking.com and we have joined their Recommended Partners Program.
We are committed to guaranteeing you a wonderful stay with excellent service and a good price/quality ratio.

Villa d'illouvre is located on the outskirts of Babeau-Bouldoux, a small village in a quiet area and offers an impressive view over the vineyards. Here you can enjoy the things that make life good. The tranquility, the beautiful surroundings, the large garden and the family atmosphere ensure an optimal atmosphere.
With the wonderful climate, the casual lifestyle, the dynamics and the French elegance, it really is the model of  a good life.
